The CSBPS 2019 Doctoral Symposium is a one-day event to be held on March 27, 2019 in London, UK. The symposium will bring together doctoral students working on foundations, techniques, tools, and applications in computer science and give them the opportunity to present and discuss their research in a constructive atmosphere.

The goals of the Doctoral Symposium are to:

  • provide the participants independent and constructive feedback on their current research and future research directions;
  • develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research; and
  • provide an opportunity for student participants to interact with established researchers and practitioners in the computer science community.

Submissions

Please use the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines to submit your Extended abstract or attached template

Submssion Templates

The extended abstract should not exceed 2 A4 page including references. Depending on the stage of your PhD, include the following in your extended abstracts:
  • The problem to be solved in your thesis (justify why this problem is important and make clear that previous research has not yet solved that problem).
  • Your research hypothesis (or claim).
  • The expected contributions of your research
  • How you plan to evaluate your results.
  • A description of the results achieved so far (if possible) and a planned timeline for completion.

Students should submit their extended abstract through easy chair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=csbps2019
